Traffic Cone

The traffic cone is a course item appearing on many courses in Mario Kart 8 Deluxe.

Effects

When the traffic cone is hit by a vehicle or an item, it will be knocked to the side. A small vibration will be felt on the player's controller, but they otherwise have no effect on the driver. They won't cause you to slow down or recieve damage at all.

Variants

The traffic cone has several different appearances. Normal traffic cones are red, blue, or yellow, with white stripes. You can find normal traffic cones on the following courses:

• Toad Harbor
• Mount Wario
• GBA Mario Circuit
• Rock Rock Mountain
• Daisy Circuit

Sweet Sweet Canyon

In Sweet Sweet Canyon, the traffic cones can be seen after the cannon glider, in the form of ice cream cones.

Electrodrome

In Electrodrome, they look similar to the normal traffic cones, but with a black body and glowing neon stripes.

Animal Crossing

In Animal Crossing, they can be seen as seashells in the water area. They are offroad, so they are unlikely to get hit.
